The trail connecting Göreme and Uçhisar runs through fairy chimney formations and past these pigeon houses, offering some of the most accessible scenery in the region without technical hiking skill. Many hikers walk it in the direction from Uçhisar down to Göreme, since it’s gently downhill that way, finishing near central Göreme’s restaurants and hotels.

The main trail takes roughly 1–1.5 hours at an easy pace, one of the shortest and most beginner-friendly valley walks in Cappadocia.
Walking downhill from Uçhisar to Göreme is easier than the reverse direction.
Morning or late afternoon light gives the best photography conditions.
