We Do Not Sell Travel Services

Discovering Turkey is a publisher, not a travel agency, tour operator, or booking service. We do not sell tours, accommodation, flights, transfers, insurance, or any other travel product. We do not take bookings, hold customer funds, or act as an agent for any provider.

If you book something after following a link from this site, that booking is a contract between you and that provider. Any questions about payment, cancellation, refunds, changes, or service quality must go to them directly. We have no ability to access, alter, or cancel a booking made elsewhere, and we are not party to it.

How This Site Makes Money

Running a site like this costs money, and we would rather be upfront about how it is funded than pretend otherwise. There are two sources.

Affiliate links. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to book or buy something, we may receive a small commission from that company. You pay exactly the same price either way — the commission comes out of the provider’s margin, not your pocket. We participate in affiliate programs including Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook, Airalo, SafetyWing, and WayAway.

Advertising. The site may display advertising served by third-party ad networks. Those ads are selected by the network, not chosen or endorsed by us.

How That Affects What We Write

We write the guide first and add links afterwards. A hotel, tour, or service is not recommended because it pays a commission, and we include places that earn us nothing whenever they are the better answer. Nobody pays us for a favourable review, and we do not accept payment for placement in our guides.

That said, you should read any monetised site — including this one — with that context in mind, and we would encourage you to compare prices and read independent reviews before booking anything.

Accuracy of Information

Travel information dates quickly. Opening hours change, ticket prices rise, transport routes are rerouted, and attractions close for restoration with little notice. We update pages when we learn of changes and show a visible “last updated” date on each one, but we cannot guarantee that everything is current or error-free at the moment you read it.

Prices are given as a guide only, are usually quoted in US dollars for comparison, and will vary with exchange rates and season. Always confirm critical details — opening times, prices, and whether a site is open at all — directly with the operator before travelling.
