Duden Waterfalls Antalya — Düden Waterfalls are two separate cascades on the Düden River near Antalya: the Upper Düden falls inland amid a nature park, and the Lower Düden drops directly off a coastal cliff into the Mediterranean. Both are free to visit and among the most photographed natural sights in the region.

The Lower Düden Waterfall’s defining feature is its setting: rather than falling into a river or lake, it drops roughly 40 meters straight off a coastal cliff directly into the Mediterranean Sea, a genuinely unusual sight best appreciated from the water on a boat trip along the coast. The Upper Düden, about 15km outside the city center in a landscaped nature park, is more accessible on foot and includes a walkway that passes behind the curtain of falling water through a natural cave — a distinctive vantage point unavailable at most waterfalls. Both falls are fed by the same river system, which winds down from the Taurus Mountains before reaching the coast.

What should I know before visiting?

The Lower Düden is best viewed from a boat — many coastal boat trips include a pass along the cliff face.

How much are tickets and what are the hours?

The Upper Düden sits inside a fenced, gated park with a small entry fee, around 70 TL (roughly $2) per adult as of 2025, open 08:00–19:00 April–October and 08:00–18:00 November–March. The Lower Düden, inside Düden Park in Lara, is free and open to the public around the clock.

How do I get to Düden Waterfalls from Antalya center?

The Upper Düden is about a 20-minute drive or bus ride northeast of the city center. The Lower Düden, in the Lara district, is best seen either from the coastal boat trips that pass it or from Lara’s clifftop viewpoints.
