Our Story
Discovering Turkey started as a way to cover the country beyond the three-city loop most guides repeat. We’re independently run — no tour packages, no bookings taken directly — funded through affiliate links and display ads, clearly marked wherever they appear.
What We Believe
Whole Country, Not Three Cities
Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Pamukkale get plenty of coverage elsewhere. We’re building toward all 81 provinces.
Written After the Trip
Every guide is written from what actually happened on the ground, not assembled from other people’s blog posts.
No Tours, No Packages
We don’t sell trips. We point you toward the operators, hotels, and services we’d actually use, and we’re upfront when a link earns us a commission.
Why Turkey
Turkey spans two continents, three seas, and enough regional variety that most visitors never get past the postcard version. We think it deserves a guide that treats the whole country as worth covering.
